This policy describes the data processed by the Real Estate Studio application and the associated Red Vision service. It applies to the macOS app (and future iOS app), the api.redvision.ch backend, and all client–server interactions.
1. Data Collected
1.1 User Account
When you sign in via Sign In with Apple, we receive:
- Apple User ID — opaque identifier provided by Apple (cannot be used to retrieve your real identity)
- Email address — either your real Apple email or a relay alias
@privaterelay.appleid.comif you have enabled « Hide My Email » - Full name — only on first login, and only if you authorize it
1.2 Device Identifier
An anonymous device identifier (UUID generated locally) is created on first launch and sent to the backend solely to prevent abuse of the free trial quota (limit of 2 free retouches per device). This identifier is not Apple’s IDFA, is not linked to your identity, and is not used for any advertising tracking.
1.3 In-App Purchases
When you purchase a credit pack, Apple transmits transaction information (transaction ID, product ID, amount, currency) to us via StoreKit so we can credit your account. No banking data passes through Red Vision — all payment processing is handled by Apple.
1.4 Photos Processed by AI
Photos you process via the AI Retouch or AI Sublimate mode are:
- Transmitted encrypted (HTTPS) to our backend
api.redvision.ch - Forwarded immediately to AI provider OpenAI (model gpt-image-2) for processing
- Not stored on Red Vision servers: neither the source image nor the retouched image is retained beyond processing time (~1–2 minutes maximum)
- Subject to OpenAI’s privacy policy: openai.com/policies/privacy-policy
The content of photos is not analyzed by Red Vision for profiling. No metadata is extracted for commercial purposes.
1.5 Technical Logs
The backend logs API requests (user ID, mode used, file size, processing duration, return code). No visual content is logged. These logs are retained for a maximum of 30 days and used for debugging and fraud prevention.
2. Purposes of Processing
- Authentication: grant access to the service via Sign In with Apple
- Credits & purchases: correctly bill and credit packs purchased via Apple In-App Purchase
- Anti-abuse: prevent the creation of multiple accounts to exploit the free trial quota
- AI service: temporarily transmit your photos to the AI provider to generate the retouched version
- Technical support: diagnose problems via technical logs
We do not sell any data to third parties. We do not display ads inside the application.
3. Legal Basis (GDPR)
- Performance of contract (Art. 6.1.b GDPR): to provide the service you purchase
- Legitimate interest (Art. 6.1.f GDPR): for fraud prevention and security
- Consent (Art. 6.1.a GDPR): for optional features (notifications)
4. Your Rights
As a user residing in the EU, Switzerland, or the United Kingdom, you have the following rights:
- Right of access to your personal data
- Right to rectification and update
- Right to erasure (« right to be forgotten ») — available directly in the app via Settings → Delete my account. Immediate anonymization and logout.
- Right to data portability
- Right to object to processing
- Right to withdraw consent at any time

5. Subprocessors
Red Vision uses the following providers, each contractually committed to GDPR compliance:
- OpenAI Ireland Limited — AI photo processing (model gpt-image-2). Retains data ≤ 30 days for legal compliance, with no training on your data (enterprise policy).
- Cloudflare, Inc. (Workers + D1) — backend hosting and database storage (user accounts, transactions). EU datacenter.
- Apple Inc. — Sign In with Apple, In-App Purchase payments, App Store distribution. See Apple’s privacy policy.
6. Security
- All client–server communications are encrypted with TLS 1.3
- The backend uses certificate pinning to prevent MITM attacks
- Authentication tokens are stored in the macOS Keychain
- Apple notifications are cryptographically validated (JWS signatures)
- No banking data passes through Red Vision
7. AI-Generated Content
Images produced by Real Estate Studio are generated with the assistance of OpenAI (gpt-image-2). In compliance with Apple guidelines, every image generated during the free trial is marked with the « rv » watermark to indicate its artificial origin.
8. Data Retention
- User account: retained as long as your account is active. Immediate deletion on request.
- Transaction history: retained for 10 years for Swiss accounting compliance
- Technical logs: 30 days maximum
- Processed photos: not retained (processing time only)
9. Changes to This Policy
Any significant changes to this policy will be notified in the app and by email to your Sign In with Apple address. The last-updated date appears at the top of this page.
